What you need

1 round slice of a seedless watermelon
6 wooden lolly sticks

Method

Cut the watermelon round into 6 roughly equal triangles, leaving the rinds in place. If seedless watermelon is unavailable, remove and discard any seeds.

Push the tip of a sharp knife into the rind of each watermelon slice to create a slit for the lolly stick.

Push a lolly stick into each watermelon slice, then place the watermelon slices onto a lined tray or plate.

Pop them in the freezer and freeze for at least 2 hours, then carefully peel from the tray and serve immediately for a cooling frozen treat!

Add optional extras to your watermelon pops by drizzling with a little natural yogurt and/or sprinkling over a little unsweetened desiccated coconut before freezing.

40g of watermelon flesh is one portion.
