Spiced Pork With Plum

  • How to make

3 slices of ginger
200g minced pork
1 clove of garlic
1 carrot
3 spring onions
½ tsp Chinese 5 Spice
4 plums
3 dried prunes
250ml water

Step 1

Grate the carrot, slice the spring onions, halve, stone and chop the plums and stone and chop the prunes; peel and crush the garlic

Step 2

Pan fry the ginger for 1 minute, add the minced pork and cook until the pork starts to colour

Step 3

Add the garlic, carrot, spring onion and Chinese 5 spice and fry for a further 2 minutes

Step 4

Add the plums, prunes and water and simmer for 20 minutes

Step 5

For younger babies serve as it is or mash or puree down to the desired consistency for your little one
