Recipe notes

If you don't have a slow cooker you can make this in a large casserole dish with a lid. Simply follow the instructions and place in the oven with a lid on at 160°C / 140°C Fan / gas mark 3 for approx. 1½ hrs. until the pork is tender and cooked through. As an option you could sauté the chopped onions and brown the pork on the hob first for a little more flavour.

If you freeze this recipe ensure you defrost thoroughly before re-heating.
