This classic pasta sauce is a wonderful way to introduce your baby to red meat

Recipe Ingredients: 
half tbsp organic olive oil
1 small organic onion, finely chopped
half an organic celery stick, finely chopped
1 small organic carrot, peeled and chopped
125g (40z) organic minced beef
3 organic tomatoes, chopped or 200g (7oz) tinned chopped tomatoes
90ml (3fl oz) water
1 tbsp fresh or frozen organic peas
pinch dried organic basil
1 tbsp organic pasta shapes
Recipe Method: 
Step 1 -Heat the oil in a small pan over a medium heat.
Step 2 -Fry the onion, celery and carrot for about 2 minutes, then add the minced beef and brown for about 2 minutes.
Step 3 -Add the tomatoes and the water and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring from time to time.
Step 4 -Add the peas and basil and simmer for a further 5 minutes.
Step 5 -Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to the directions on the packet and drain well.
Step 6 -Puree or roughly mash the bolognese mixture. Add the drained pasta and mix well. Add extra water if a thinner consistency is preferred.
