    Who are the Soil Association?

Organic foods are free from artificial chemical pesticides.

Children’s bodies are different to those of adults and their vital organs are less able to deal with harmful substances.

Their nervous system is still growing until the age of 18 and this can be disrupted by exposure to toxins. Until 7 years of age a child’s body contains more water than that of an adult, making it easier for water soluble pesticides to circulate and cause disruption.

Many people think of organic food as a recent development, but all farming was organic 50 years ago!

It simply means producing food without using artificial chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

Instead, organic farmers rely on developing a healthy, fertile soil and growing a mixture of crops in tune with nature. When it comes to rearing animals, there are strict standards that the farmers need to adhere to, to ensure they are happier, healthier animals and organically reared.

This all means that organic farming is better for the planet - the video above from the Soil Association explains this really well.

We work with The Soil Association, the UK’s foremost and largest organic body. You'll find their logo on our packaging to show that our products are Soil Association approved.

Promoting planet-friendly food and farming, the Soil Association symbol denotes organic products you can trust because they set and conform to a strict set of standards safeguarding animals and crops.
