The Goodies Gang

We have joined forces with an award-winning illustrator to create a group of characters that aim to get children interested in healthy eating.

The Goodies Gang are six children and a friendly dog designed by renowned artist Caroline Jayne Church. The gang will appear on packaging of the Organix Goodies range and on a specially designed interactive website - where parents with young children can sign up to join the Children's Food Club and play fun, educational games about food and food production.

Caroline Jayne Church says: "They are a group of lively children who try to make the most of life. They have been taught how important it is to look after yourself and also to make sure you eat the right kind of food because that's what makes you feel good. All the children know that we need to look after our planet too. The kind of things the gang like doing are the kind of thing I would like my son William to do!".

Hello I'm Elli.

I love cooking with my mum and think that the best bit is cleaning out the bowls afterwards.

I like cycling and swimming and am really quite sporty.

I have lots of friends and the one thing they all love is to go to the seaside with me. We swim and fly our kites if it's windy enough!

I like picking blackberries in the autumn and taking the berries home to make a pie with.

My favourite food is Mango.

Hello my name is Jo Jo.

I love drawing and always have a sketch pad and some crayons with me. I enter lots of drawing competitions. My bedroom walls are covered with lots of paintings.

I love reading too...I am making up a story and doing my own pictures for it.

My favourite food is blueberries.

I am a member of the school choir and once did a solo in front of two hundred people.

The choir travels abroad to compete in singing competitions, I find this really exciting.

I also love to go camping. I always help mum and dad put up the tent..the best bit is using the hammer to put in the tent pegs.

We usually stay near the sea and I always take my surfboard with me incase there are any big waves!

Hello, my name is Hattie.

I love animals. I have lots of pets including a goldfish called Henry and a hen called Speckles. I spend lots of time finding delicious food for my rabbit, Flopsy. I also have some stick insects that have laid eggs.

When I grow up I want to be a veterinary nurse so I can help poorly animals to get better.

I have a pony called Tuppence and I always let my friends ride him when they come down to the stables.

Tuppence has won lots of rosettes..he is really good at jumping! I have twenty photos of him on my bedroom wall.

Hello there, my name is Dillan.

I'm very good at running. I play a lot of football and I'm also in the cricket team at school.

I love sport and go out jogging with my dog.

My favourite hobby is making ice cream with the help of my mum.

My favourite food is Bananas, they give me lots of energy.

I'm interested in old castles and have visited five in Scotland already.

Sometimes my friends come to my house and we make a pretend castle in the garden together. Once, we were allowed to camp in the garden which was even more fun! We tried counting the stars but there were too many.

I'm Alfie and I love music.

I'm learning to play the drums (although it drives my mum and dad crazy when I play them in my bedroom).

I collect old records and one of my best presents ever was an old fashioned record player.

I like lots of types of music but my favourite is rock and roll. When I'm older, I want to play in a band.

Some of my friends play instuments as well. They have already tried writing some words for their own songs.

I listen to the radio and i'm always interested in any new music that is played. Sometimes I pretend to be the DJ. I once visited a real recording studio where some famous singers had made their albums.

Hello I'm Todd.

I'm very good at gymnastics. I am in the school team and want to be an olympic athlete one day!

I am also good on the trampoline and go mountain biking with my friends.

I love to go fishing with my grandpa whenever I can. We get up really early in the morning (sometimes its still dark)...It is really exciting. When we get to the river, my Grandpa cooks breakfast on the camping stove...it always taste's delicious. We have to keep really quiet so that we don't frighten the fish away.
